Monica Colvin Explains the RDC Foundation Built in Memory of Ryder Colvin | Squad Pod

Monica Colvin joins the Squad Pod to tell us all about the RDC Foundation in honor of her late son Ryder Colvin.
The Foundation is built upon the memory of Ryder Colvin, one of our own racing brothers from Las Vegas, who tragically lost his life while riding his dirtbike in 2023. He was training to make one last go at Loretta Lynn’s before he went to EMT school to become a firefighter.
The Foundation’s goal is to raise money and award riders who apply for the scholarship. They want to help young up and coming amateur racers without much support make it to the races and help out their program as much as possible. Monica, Ryder’s mother, told me that Ryder was always talking about if some of his fellow racers had more support then they would be able to go to the next level. So, this Foundation is an ode to Ryder. To help out the fellow racer.
Last year the Foundation was still pretty fresh, but it was still able to raise almost $7,500! This money was awarded to three riders to help fund their trip to The Amateur Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Tennessee.

Kurt Nicoll and Ryan Hughes Talk Moto With Us | Winners Take Y'all

Kurt Nicoll shut down 13 straight years of American MXDN dominance and then crossed the pond and married one of our own. Thankfully he's super cool and joined us to talk about 1994 and all things in between.  We are pumped that he laughed at our dumb jokes! 
Ryan Hughes also jumped on with us but we were baffled when he told us he was Ty Masterpool's mechanic instead of the guy who pushed his bike across the finish line back in the day, so we changed course and talked about the last minute addition to Pro Circuit and the rest is history!

SMX Technologies Built a 2003 CR250 For Brett Cue to Race at the FRO400! | Squad Pod

The FRO400 is this weekend at Washougal MX Park as part of the Vurbmoto Shred Tour. It's the second annual Vurbapalooza event and we have so many cool elements going on in preparation.
Enter SMX Technologies and owner Sean Schrader. He's an ELITE bike builder, and with the help of Motosport and other amazing companies, he's built a mint 2003 CR 250 two stroke for our own Brett Cue to race at the event. 
Schrader had to accomplish this build with a quick turnaround, but he was finished ahead of schedule. Join us as we talk about the process of building this bike, why he got involved in building bikes, what projects he wants to work on next, plus more!
This bike will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to an incredible cause that will be announced this weekend.

Midwestern Mark Fineis Talks Turning Pro and ClubMX | Squad Pod

Mark Fineis has officially made his transition to the pro ranks with the backing of the Muc-Off/FXR/Yamaha crew. He raced his second ever national at Fox Raceway and finished 14-11 for 12th overall. It was a great debut and an impressive showing for Club's newest hire. 
Fineis is originally from Indiana, which is close by to Troy Dog, so you can understand Troy's excitement as someone from the area is doing well. Although Fineis is quick to shut down that excitement to say that he's now officially a resident of South Carolina. Whatever bro.

Christian Craig On Returning to Pro Motocross, X Games 2009, and More! | Squad Pod

Christian Craig has known us here at Vurbmoto since we were Allegiance MX (IDK, ask Wes, bro). So, it was only fitting we caught up with him as he gets ready to make his return to racing at Round 1 of the Pro Motocross Championship at Fox Raceway. Craig filled us in on the lows that he has faced in dealing with four surgeries in the past year on his elbow. Then he let us know how prepared he is for the summer. 
The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider is entering a contract year, so we got his thoughts on whether or not that adds pressure for him, or if he is at a point in his career where he knows everything will fall into place.
